 Born
of mixed parentage (an Indian father and a
Polish mother) in Toronto. Lisa Ray came east and found
fame and fortune in South Asia's glamour capital Bombay.
A decade ago she created a sensation in the modelling
world in Bombay when she appeared in an advertisement
clad in a towel for Bombay Dyeing a leading Indian textile
company. This was not planned that time she was only
sweet sixteen and visited India on vacation.
Soon then she acquired a Supermodel status and became
one of the most sought out faces in the industry. Some
years later she appeared in Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's
Afreen video.
Her debut film was Vikram Bhatt's Kasoor
in which she has acted quite well, considering it is
her maiden attempt in films. Then her one more film
came Hollywood Bollywood opposite
Rahul Khanna. For future Lisa is not much enthusiastic
about pursuing an acting career in Bollywood, although
there are chances of her doing more films for the Bhatts.
Lisa has now moved away from Bollywood and staying in
London.
