Rayalaseema Food and Dance Festival in Andhra Pradesh is held with a special purpose of drawing the attention of the world to the cultural richness of Rasyalaseema area of Tirupati in Chitoor district. Celebrated in the month of October, which coincides with Peratasi, a month in Tamil Calendar, Rayalaseema Food and Dance Festival upholds the handicraft, artistic expertise and cuisine of Rayalaseema area.
This fair and festival in Andhra Pradesh is organized by the tourism department of the state in Tirupati. In Peratasi month, Bramhostavam of Lord Sri Venkateswara is celebrated at Tirupati. It highlights the arts and cuisine of the Rayalaseema area of the State.
HOW TO GET THERE
Air: Tirupati has an airport of its own.
Rail: Tirupati is having a railway station too. But there are trains that travel via Renigunta or Gudur, but do not touch Tirupati. In such cases, Renigunta (just 10-km from Tirupati) or Gudur (100-km from Tirupati), are convenient points to alight. From Renigunta/Gudur, you can reach Tirupati by train, bus, or taxi.
Road: APSRTC runs regular buses that connect Tirupati to all the important places within the State.
