The Orange Festival at Jampui Hills
In the month of November, every year, Orange & Tourism festival is celebrated in the Jampui hill.A large number of tourists, both domestic and foreign, come to participate and enjoy the festival. The rainy season is no way less appealing. During this season the hill is wrapped with floating clouds and it provides an exemplary experience for the tourists here. The formation of clouds at the bottom of the hill range and its gradual ascendance from the bottom to the top slowly engulfing the whole hill range in its mystic lap is an experience to collect.
How to Reach at Orange Festivals :
By Airport : The State capital, Agartala is well connected by air with Calcutta and Guwahati. Flight from Guwahati or Calcutta takes less than 45 minutes to reach Agartala. The North Tripura District has one small airports at Kailashahar where small chartered planes can land after prior information.
By Rail : The nearest rail station is at Kumarghat of NF railway. From here you can reach the place by road.
By Road : Kailashahar the District Head quarter of North Tripura District is connected by regular Bus service with Agartala. Kailashahar is also well connected by regular bus services with , Shillong, Silchar and all districts and sub-divisional towns of the State. Kailashahar is connGuwahatiected by road to major cities of India via Assam.
