crores.

Andhra Pradesh is on the fore-front of power generation
with an installed capacity of 6000 mw. With a new forward
looking Power Policy that encourages private participation
in generation, the state would achieve surplus energy by
the year 2000.Emphasis is also being given to Mini Power
Plants and alternative sources of energy.
