About the Srinagar :

Tourist attractions in Srinagar:

Dal Lake
Dal Lake is the famous landmark of Srinagar. It is famous for the floating islands of vegetations, houseboats and floating markets. Srinagar Tours are incomplete if you missed boating on the beautiful Dal Lake in a Shikhara Boat

Hazaratbal Mosque
When talking about the tourist attractions & excursions in Srinagar, one can’t forget mentioning about the ancient Hazaratbal Mosque. Situated on the left bank of the famous Dal Lake in Srinagar, Hazaratbal Mosque is a holy pilgrimage for the Muslims in India.

Mughal Gardens
Mughal Gardens in Srinagar are one of the most popular Tourist Attractions in Srinagar. Many gardens together are called Mughal Gardens. Nishat Bagh, Shalimar and Cheshma Shahi are the three popular gardens known as the Mughal Gardens in Srinagar.

Shankaracharya Hill
Formerly called as Takht-i-Sulaiman, meaning the throne of Solomon, Shankaracharya Hill is another great attraction in Srinagar. This was the place where the philosopher Shankaracharya resided while his visit to Kashmir to revive ‘Sanatan Dharma’.

How to reach :

by Air - Srinagar is well connected by air with Delhi. There is a daily flight to Delhi via Jammu by Indian airlines. There are weekly flights operated by Indian Airlines for Leh from Srinagar.

by Rail - Srinagar does not have a railway station and the nearest railhead is Jammu Tawi, which is 305 km from Srinagar.

by Road - Srinagar is well connected by road to important places like Chandigarh (630 km), Delhi (876 km), Jammu (298 km), Leh, Kargil, Gulmarg, Sonamarg, and Pahalgam.
