History of Godi Sagar Lake :
The Godi Sagar Lake is a man made reservoir. It was built by Raja Rawal Jaisal who was the first ruler of Jaisalmer. This lake in Jaisalmer was renovated in the later years by Maharaja Garisisar. This reservoir at Godi Sagar Lake supplied water to all the residents of the city of Jaisalmer in the earlier years. It was also the place for the kings and the members of the Royal family to spend pleasant summer evenings.
