One of the oldest monasteries in Sikkim, is in Pelling. The monastery, counted amongst one of the major tourist attractions in Pemayangtse, stands tall, at 6840 ft, and describes a story of religion and faith that runs through the blood of pure monks. The monastery stores some of the very old antique idols, scriptures and sculptures that draw every spiritually motivated pilgrim to this sacred land.

By Air :- Bagdogra (in West Bengal) is the adjacent airport. Regular flights and helicopter services are available to Gangtok, from Bagdogra.
By Rail :- Siliguri (114 km) is the nearest station, New Jalpaiguri (125 km) is also a good connecting point to reach Pelling.
Road :- Road network is good in Pemayantse which is well connected to the capital city of Sikkim, Gangtok
